Who we are, and the two or three opinions the whole catalog is built on.
JOSEN makes inflatable things for summer — pool floats and loungers, river tubes, ball pits, hoppers and yard games. We started with one tanning pool and a complaint that nobody seemed to be designing for the hour rather than the photograph, and most of what we have built since has followed from that.
Three opinions run through everything. The first is that heavy vinyl and welded seams are not a premium feature, they are the baseline, and a float that does not survive a second season was never cheap. The second is that published numbers should be measured, not estimated — inches and pounds on every listing, taken from the product rather than the spec sheet it was ordered from. The third is that a design should be comfortable at minute sixty, not minute three.
We are a small team working out of Long Beach, California. We test in real pools and a real lake, and the 48 hour inflation test that every batch sits through came out of a bad run in our second year that we would rather not repeat. If something we made has failed you, we want to hear about it specifically — the seam, the valve, the week it happened — because that is the only kind of feedback that changes a product.
